Description
Navigate the entire world hands-free
● Durable, built to military standards (MIL-STD-810G); compatible with night vision goggles
● Works with GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo satellite systems to provide precise positioning
● Know where you are thanks to navigation sensors that include a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis compass, and barometric altimeter; smart notifications1 allow your device to receive emails, text messages, and alerts
● Foretrex 701 adds Applied Ballistics Elite software that calculates shooting solutions for long-range shots
● Battery life exceeds 48 hours in navigation mode, up to one week in UltraTrac mode, and up to one month in watch mode
- Tougher than necessary
The Foretrex 601 and 701 navigators are more than durable. They are built to military standards for thermal, shock, and water performance (MIL-STD-810G). They also include tactical features, such as compatibility with night vision goggles and Jumpmaster mode.
- Multi-GNSS navigation that includes Galileo
Both the Foretrex 601 and 701 work with 3 satellite navigation reception networks, including GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo, to track your position in environments too difficult for GPS alone. Explore for longer — battery life exceeds 48 hours in navigation mode and lasts up to 1 week in UltraTrac mode.
- Navigation sensors keep you on the right path
To guide you on well-traveled and less-traveled trails, the Foretrex 601 and 701 offer complete navigation and monitoring using GPS functionality together with ABB sensor capabilities (altimeter, barometer, and compass). The built-in altimeter provides altitude data that allow for precise monitoring of ascents and descents, while the barometer can be used to predict weather changes by displaying short-term air pressure trends. The 3-axis electronic compass helps you stay oriented at all times, whether you are moving or not.
- The most precise ballistic solution system available
The Foretrex 701 with AB Elite software is an excellent assistant for hunters and target shooters. It is equipped with Applied Ballistics Elite software, which calculates shooting solutions for long-range shots.
- Stay connected
Smart notifications — available on both devices — allow you to receive emails, text messages, and alerts from your mobile device directly on your wrist. Use the Garmin Connect Mobile app to initialize the LiveTrack feature and allow others to track you during your trip (within the limits of mobile phone signal coverage). Other connected features include automatic uploads to our Garmin Connect™ online fitness community and automatic software updates when paired with a mobile device.
