Carbinox T508 steel combines the best characteristics of carbon and chrome steel: hardness, ease of sharpening, and extreme durability. The steel has a carbon content of 0.5%, a chromium content of 8%, and a hardness of 56-57 HRC. The material is not classified as stainless, but its corrosion resistance is considerably greater than that of traditional carbon steel. To maintain Carbinox T508, simply clean the blade carefully and dry it after use. However, we also recommend occasionally treating the blade with unseasoned oil.
The practical rubber handle ensures a firm grip even in extreme conditions.
