Advanced autopilot mode control and remote waypoint marking allow you to maintain control of the boat even when you are not at the helm. With Quatix 5, you can actually access a GHC™ 20 autopilot control unit to control the autopilot—change course, turn, and steer the boat. You also have remote waypoint marking, which allows you to add a waypoint from the quatix 5 and automatically sync it with the connected chartplotter.
Take advantage of Garmin SailAssist™ features
When it comes to race courses, you don't just time the start, you can also visualize it. See a virtual start line represented on the quatix 5, with 2 waypoints that create the start line of a race course. With the distance to the start line, you will know how close you are to the line based on the distance to the virtual start line. You will also have a race timer that times the time until the start of the race and the time available if the virtual start line is present. Race assistance will also determine whether the boat is steered or raised, after which it will easily calibrate the port/starboard angles of the boat with a button press.

Whether you are paddleboarding or canoeing, Quatix 5 will track your strokes and the distance you have advanced with each stroke, as well as the total distance traveled: it even offers lap monitoring.
