Description
Merger LRF XL50 is the first device with HD thermal quality, featuring a sensor with a record resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. With a detection range of 2300 m, a wide field of view, and a built-in rangefinder, the new Merger LRF XL50 binocular is a true all-rounder, offering exceptional scanning and target acquisition capabilities across the entire magnification range—from 2.5x to 20x.
These binoculars offer a superior thermal experience. The image generated by the new 1024x768 pixel thermal sensor is high-definition and rich in detail. It is ideal for identifying game without compromise. The silhouettes, anatomy, and behavioral characteristics of animals are clearly visible and distinguishable.
The 2.5–20x variable magnification provides improved focusing and better overall object recognition at significant distances. The HD sensor maintains a high level of image detail across the entire magnification range. The zoom can be adjusted either in 2x steps or continuously to achieve a customized FOV/magnification ratio for any specific situation.
The Merger LRF XL50 offers a wide field of view for easily scanning and identifying game. Explore landscapes in HD with a wide 14-degree angle and an optimal 2.5x magnification. The large-format sensor provides the best FOV/magnification ratio in its class even at high zoom levels of up to 20x.
The powerful objective lens, combined with the professional-grade 12 µm / 1024x768 pixel HD thermal image sensor, provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8 m tall object can be detected at a distance of 2300 m in complete darkness.
The Merger LRF binoculars feature a classic daylight binocular design. With their compact shape, these thermal binoculars fit comfortably in the hand while offering an attractive exterior aesthetic and excellent ergonomics. The six buttons are placed within easy reach, and the device's most frequently used digital functions can be activated with a single touch.
The optical design of the Merger LRF binoculars fully takes human vision into account. It is natural for a person to receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Viewing with both eyes is less tiring than viewing with one eye. This means better detection of small or faint objects and superior performance in low-contrast scenarios compared to similar monocular thermal imaging devices with the same technical specifications. The interpupillary distance of the Merger LRF binoculars can be adjusted from 62 to 74 mm to suit the user's individual characteristics.
Understanding the target distance is essential for making the right decisions. A built-in laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1 kilometer allows you to measure distances with single measurements and continuous scanning, with an accuracy of ± 1 meter for quick and error-free assessment.
The Merger LRF is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, and another replaceable one with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge guarantees up to 8 hours of battery life. The engraving on the replaceable battery pack for precise orientation makes it possible to quickly and confidently replace a depleted battery with a new one in complete darkness.
The built-in WiFi connects the Merger LRF to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile app. This opens up a wide range of options, including device software updates, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone screen, publishing captured photo and video content on social media, remote device control, and access to the latest news from Pulsar. In the Merger LRF thermal cameras, the standard smartphone connection range via a 2.4 GHz WiFi channel is complemented by an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer rates, noise immunity, and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and effortless operation.
The Merger LRF features a built-in video recorder. The Merger LRF's internal memory can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. A single button press is all it takes to capture a photo of an interesting scene or start recording video. Recordings can be copied to a computer hard drive via a USB-C port. In addition, the Merger LRF owner has 16 GB of free space for storing captured photos and videos in the Pulsar cloud. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile app and connect the device to a smartphone via WiFi.
